Fresh Details Surface Regarding the Location of the Reiner Couple's Remains

Fresh particulars have surfaced about the shocking deaths of renowned film director Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their Los Angeles home property on Sunday.

A Alarm

As detailed in an account citing a family associate, a massage therapist scheduled for an session first raised the alarm after failing to get inside the house. The practitioner then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides in the vicinity.

After gaining access to the home, Romy found her father's body. Reports state she then left the home distraught, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was also present. A companion who had accompanied her promptly called 911. Subsequently, emergency responders found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Developments

The police have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of premeditated murder, along with the use of a dangerous weapon, reportedly a knife. He is currently in custody and is ineligible for bail.

Correcting the Record

The anonymous source challenged several initial details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a separate structure on the property, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that juncture.

Additionally disputed widely reported notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been particularly "concerned" about Nick's actions in recent weeks. Instead the family was "accustomed to working through [Nick's] problems together."

This refutation also extends to accounts of alleged "erratic" conduct by Nick at a party thrown by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the tragedy. While the source stated they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "scolded" his son at the party, they asserted that suggestions of a "blow-up" between the two were untrue.

Ongoing Inquiry Timeline

As stated by law enforcement officials, the coroner had not yet established at that point whether the Reiners died late on Saturday or on Sunday. Some media reports indicated the state of their bodies pointed to they had been dead for a number of hours.

Nick Reiner was taken into custody at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park area, roughly 15 miles from the scene. He was set to have a hearing on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, said his client had not received medical clearance and would not appear until Wednesday or later.
