The House investigative committee has made public a set of roughly 70 images secured from the holdings of late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third such release from a tranche of over 95,000 photos the panel has obtained from Epstein's holdings. It includes pictures of passages from the book Lolita written across a female's body, and obscured images of female overseas passports.

This release comes mere hours before the 19th of December due date for the DOJ to disclose each files connected to its inquiry into Epstein.

"These new images bring up more questions about what exactly the Justice Department has in its custody," stated the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Photographs Released

Several of the photos published on recently show Epstein speaking with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky aboard a personal aircraft; Bill Gates standing alongside a female whose identity is obscured; Steve Bannon sitting at a table across from Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the latest affluent, prominent men to be seen in Epstein property photographs released by the oversight panel - earlier disclosed images also depict US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, former US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and other figures.

Showing up in the photos is is not considered indication of any misconduct, and several of the photographed men have said they were not involved in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a press release accompanying the photograph release, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate did not offer context or timings for the pictures.

"Images were picked to offer the public with clarity into a illustrative selection of the images obtained from the estate, and to provide perspectives into Epstein's associates and his extremely disturbing behavior," the announcement states.

The publication also features multiple images of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita penned in dark ink across various areas of a female's body, like her torso, feet, hip, and back. Lolita recounts the story of a adolescent who was exploited by a adult literature professor.

One passage from the novel scrawled across a woman's torso says, "Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue traveling of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a collection of images of female travel documents and official papers from states worldwide, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the information on the documents, such as names and DOBs, is redacted but the House Oversight Committee indicated in a press release that the travel documents are associated with "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were interacting with".

An additional photo depicts Epstein sitting at a desk intimately in the company of three female figures whose features have been redacted - a first has her palm on Epstein's upper body under his clothing, and a second is leaning to examine a close-by laptop. An additional photo released is a image of digital messages from an unknown person who says they have been supplied "several females" and are demanding "$$1,000 per girl".

Photograph Disclosure Comes Before DOJ Due Date

The committee has thousands of photos in its holdings from the Epstein holdings, which are "simultaneously explicit and everyday," its statement on this week clarified.

The House Oversight Committee first issued a subpoena to the property of Epstein, who passed away in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while awaiting trial on accusations of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The images and records the Epstein estate's representatives submitted to the body are separate from what is largely called "Epstein-related records". Those are records under the justice department's control related to its separate inquiry into Epstein.

Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which President Trump signed into law recently, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to publish its records. The full nature of the contents found in the DOJ's records is not publicly known, and it's expected that a significant portion of the information will be extensively redacted, similar to House Oversight Committee materials
